Renovations & Repairs
Renovations, liner replacements and full repairs
Give an existing pool a new liner, a new finish or a proper fix, from the Lakewood office to the shore and across the tri-state area.
Chapter 01
A tired liner shows it before it fails
Liner replacements are one of the three jobs Pool Docs lists under design and construction, and for a vinyl pool they're the way to start fresh without starting over. A liner that's wearing out tells you: the pattern fades toward the waterline, wrinkles appear along the floor and walls, or the water level drops faster than evaporation explains.
A replacement means draining the pool, pulling the old liner, checking the walls and floor underneath, and fitting the new one before the water goes back in. That check matters more than the liner itself, because a new sheet laid over a soft spot or a rough patch will show it within a season.
If you're in Lakewood or anywhere in the tri-state area and can't tell whether the liner needs replacing or just attention, the Lakewood office at 732.300.2481 is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Tiled entry steps running down into clear pool water
Renovation keeps the shell and changes everything you touch
A renovation keeps the hole in the ground and changes what you see and feel: new tile at the waterline, rebuilt steps, different coping, a finish that isn't worn. The shell, the footprint and the plumbing runs stay put, which is why a renovation can feel like a new pool without a new dig.
Entry steps are a good example. They take a lot of traffic, and the tiled steps in the picture, running down into clear water, are the kind of detail a renovation can reshape. It changes how a pool feels to get into on a hot afternoon.
Pool Docs also designs and builds pools from scratch, from oceanfront decks to a backyard in Lakewood, so a renovation gets looked at by a company that knows how the whole pool goes together.
Chapter 03
Full repairs and service for cracks, chips, leaks and algae
A chip, a crack or a slow leak is easiest to deal with the day you notice it.
Full repairs and service covers what goes wrong in a pool: cracks and chips in the surface, leaks, discoloration, and algae that keeps coming back. Water loss is the one to watch, because a pool that drops more than it should is telling you something about the shell or the plumbing.
Repair and service work is arranged through the Lakewood office. Call 732.300.2481 or write from the contact page, and describe what you're seeing in the water, on the surface or around the equipment.
“From pool design and installation to complex repairs, they handle everything with precision and efficiency.” Jsolo El, Google review.
